Privacy & Data Collection

Why we don't track, store, or collect your personal information

Our Philosophy: Serve, Don't Track

At BreathTechnology, we believe that network diagnostic tools should serve their purpose without becoming surveillance mechanisms. Unlike many online services that collect and monetize user data, our tools are designed with privacy as a fundamental requirement, not an afterthought.

We Do Not Track Because:

  • It's unnecessary for providing network diagnostics
  • It violates user trust and privacy expectations
  • It creates security risks through data accumulation
  • It misaligns with our mission to provide transparent tools

What We Don't Do

  • No persistent user identifiers or accounts for tool usage
  • No browser fingerprinting or device profiling
  • No advertising or marketing partnerships
  • No behavioral tracking or analytics beyond basic usage metrics
  • No selling or sharing of any data with third parties
  • No long-term storage of IP addresses or connection logs

Technical Privacy Implementation

Ephemeral Processing

All network diagnostic data is processed entirely in memory and discarded immediately after generating the response:

  • IP addresses are never written to disk or databases
  • All processing occurs in RAM and is lost when the process ends
  • No session cookies or persistent identifiers are used
  • Connection logs are purged automatically every hour

Minimal Data Retention

Even our temporary logs contain only essential operational information:

Retained Data
  • Timestamp of request
  • HTTP status code
  • Response size
Never Stored
  • IP addresses
  • User agents
  • Geolocation data
  • Query parameters

Secure Architecture

Our infrastructure implements multiple layers of security to protect both our systems and your privacy:

  • All connections use TLS 1.3 with strong cipher suites
  • Rate limiting prevents abusive usage patterns
  • Firewall rules restrict access to essential services only
  • Regular security audits and penetration testing
  • Zero standing privileges for system access

Industry Comparison

Many network diagnostic tools collect extensive data for marketing purposes:

  • •Browser fingerprints
  • •Persistent tracking cookies
  • •Detailed usage analytics
  • •Social media integration
  • •Third-party advertising

We provide the same functionality without any of these privacy invasions.
